Effective from 26 July 2026. Last updated: 26 July 2026.
Site operator: the Marc & Structures web project, available at www.marcandstructures.com. For site-related issues or these terms: marc@marcandstructures.com.
By accessing and using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Educational nature of the site
This site brings together training, technical content, tools and a newsletter in structural engineering and related fields.
The content is educational and informational. It does not constitute professional engineering advice for a particular project, a technical report, construction or permitting documentation, or a binding opinion for third parties or authorities.
2. Permitted use
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to access and use the site for lawful personal, educational or internal professional purposes.
You must not, among other things:
- Use the site unlawfully or in a way that infringes third-party rights.
- Introduce malware, attack systems, or test security without explicit authorisation.
- Copy, distribute, publicly communicate, or commercially exploit content without prior written permission, except as allowed by law (e.g. quotation for criticism or research).
- Use abusive automated means (mass scraping, aggressive indexing) that harm the service.
3. Intellectual property
Text, graphics, logos, structure, selection and arrangement of content and, where applicable, project-related marks are protected under applicable law. Third-party materials (stock images, libraries, etc.) remain with their owners.
4. Newsletter and email
If you subscribe to the newsletter or write by email, you represent that you are entitled to provide the address used. Processing is described in the Privacy policy.
5. Third-party links
The site may link to third-party sites or services (software vendors, social networks, CDNs, documentation). We do not control those sites; you use them at your own risk and under their terms.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- The site and its content are provided “as is”, without warranties of complete accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
- We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss arising from use or inability to use the site.
- Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be excluded (e.g. fraud or injury where mandatory law applies).
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For disputes, the courts of Spain shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rules that may apply.
8. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version at this URL. The “effective from” date shows the current version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms where legally effective.
9. Legal review
These terms do not replace the specific terms of a paid course or professional service. Before direct sales or contracting are enabled on the website, the operator’s complete legal identity, commercial terms and applicable customer rights must be added.
