Website terms of use
Effective from 25 April 2026. Last updated: 25 April 2026.
Site operator: the Marc & Structures web project, available at www.marcandstructures.com. For site-related issues or these terms: marc@marcandstructures.com.
By accessing and using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Nature of the site and no economic activity
As of the date above, this site is primarily informational, educational, and community-focused in structural engineering and related fields. Content (articles, materials, links, demo tools, etc.) is provided for outreach and learning.
Unless expressly agreed in writing outside this site, content does not constitute (i) contracted professional engineering advice, (ii) a technical report, (iii) construction or permitting documentation, or (iv) a binding opinion for third parties or authorities.
As of the same date, no economic activity is provided through this site (no paid services or commercial contracting are concluded here). Any form, booking, or message is for contact or informational coordination (for example, an exploratory conversation) and does not by itself create a professional engagement or contract.
2. Permitted use
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to access and view the site and its content for personal, lawful purposes consistent with the project’s educational nature.
You must not, among other things:
- Use the site unlawfully or in a way that infringes third-party rights.
- Introduce malware, attack systems, or test security without explicit authorisation.
- Copy, distribute, publicly communicate, or commercially exploit content without prior written permission, except as allowed by law (e.g. quotation for criticism or research).
- Use abusive automated means (mass scraping, aggressive indexing) that harm the service.
3. Intellectual property
Text, graphics, logos, structure, selection and arrangement of content and, where applicable, project-related marks are protected under applicable law. Third-party materials (stock images, libraries, etc.) remain with their owners.
4. Forms, email, and scheduling
If you submit data via forms or email, you represent that the information is materially accurate and that you are entitled to provide it. Processing is described in the Privacy policy.
The site may link to a scheduling tool (for example on app.marcandstructures.com) to coordinate meetings or informational calls. That tool may be operated by a software provider (e.g. Odoo or another). Its use is also governed by that provider’s terms and privacy notice.
5. WhatsApp and Telegram bots
We may provide automated assistants on WhatsApp (Meta Platforms service) and/or Telegram to help book appointments, send reminders, or handle scheduling-related messages.
- When you interact with a bot, your data (e.g. user identifier, phone number on WhatsApp, message content needed for the booking) may be processed as described in the Privacy policy and in Meta’s and Telegram’s policies.
- Messages may be handled automatically; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or a specific response time.
- You may stop interacting at any time; for data-protection rights, see the Privacy policy.
6. AI-assisted consultation tools
Some sections (e.g. the consultations page) may offer an assistant based on large language models. Outputs are informational, generated automatically, and may be wrong or incomplete. Do not rely on them alone for structural safety, regulatory compliance, contracting, or construction decisions. For formal engineering opinions or projects, consult a licensed professional and applicable legal procedures.
7. Third-party links
The site may link to third-party sites or services (software vendors, social networks, CDNs, documentation). We do not control those sites; you use them at your own risk and under their terms.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- The site and its content are provided “as is”, without warranties of complete accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
- We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss arising from use or inability to use the site.
- Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be excluded (e.g. fraud or injury where mandatory law applies).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For disputes, the courts of Spain shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rules that may apply.
10. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version at this URL. The “effective from” date shows the current version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms where legally effective.
11. Informational text
This document is guidance only and is not a substitute for personal legal advice. If you begin economic activity or paid professional services, you should review identification duties, contracts, and policies with a qualified professional.
